How do I get started once I accept your estimate/bid?

Once we receive a signed copy of the estimate and a deposit for the project, the job will be entered into the system and will be processed in the order it was received.

Are estimates free and how are they done?

Yes, estimates are free of charge and it’s as easy as just giving us a call. Depending on the situation we can either give a quote from information provided over the telephone and from e‐mails. We can also make an appointment to come out to the job site to field measure and discuss the project with you personally.

How long can I expect to be without my kitchen?

This depends on the size and scope of the project. On a normal kitchen remodel, we leave your existing cabinets in place while manufacturing your new cabinetry. Approximately one week prior to cabinet installation the existing cabinetry is removed and that should provide adequate time for floor removal, drywall repair and a fresh coat of paint. The cabinet installation will take one to two days to complete. Upon cabinet completion, the countertop company and flooring company can get started. Depending upon the flooring and countertop companies work load these two items should take about two to three weeks to complete. Finally, it’s time to install the appliances and plumbing. If everything goes as planned, a standard kitchen remodeling project should take approximately four weeks to complete.

What are your payment options?

On most of our cabinet projects, we initially require a deposit of at least half of the proposal amount before we can get started. The remaining balance is due upon completion of the cabinetry.

Do you take credit card payments?

At this time we do not accept credit cards for payment options. We are able to keep prices down a bit by not paying the 2% ‐ 3% credit card processing fees. We accept cashier’s checks, personal checks and cash.

Are you licensed, bonded and insured?

Yes we are licensed in the state of Arizona with the Registrar of Contractors for residential and commercial finish carpentry installation. Please feel free to inquire about our licenses at the Arizona Registrar of Contractors web site at: 090698 & 090709. Our liability insurance is provided by Auto Owners Insurance Co. and we will be more than happy to provide a certificate of insurance upon acceptance and the deposit of the proposal.

What locations do you service?

Our main area of service is the Phoenix Metro area. We do provide service to the entire state of Arizona and all other states, upon request. Our most recent out of state job was just completed in Telluride, CO.

Do you welcome small projects?

We welcome all cabinet projects. From helping the handy homeowner plane or sand a piece of wood, to manufacturing a single vanity cabinet, to manufacturing complete cabinet packages in million dollar homes....there is no job too small or too large for Concept Cabinetry, Inc.

How long does it take to manufacture cabinets?

Depending upon the size of the job and our work load cabinets should be completed in approximately three to six weeks. Please keep in mind that it’s not a bad idea to get the estimate signed and the deposit secured promptly so that your cabinet project can be put into motion.

Can you match my existing cabinetry?

Yes, there is a very good chance that we can match your existing custom or modular cabinet style and color. We have access to a wide variety of door and drawer front styles and species of wood and stain / paint colors are no problem at all. We field measure your existing cabinetry so that we can match all aspects of your current cabinets. We have over the past twenty years found a few cabinet doors that we couldn’t match, however, those situations are far and few in between.

Can I change the look of my cabinetry without replacing them?

We offer two solutions for this situation.

1. The first option is to refinish the existing cabinetry. We do not strip and refinish the cabinetry but rather apply a glaze, black dye, or pigmented lacquer finish over the existing finish and then apply a new top coat lacquer. All items that can be removed from the cabinetry are completed here in our shop and all other items are masked off and completed in the home.
2. The second option is to re-skin the existing cabinetry and manufacture new doors, drawer fronts, crown molding and scribe molding. The cabinet faces and exposed ends are skinned with a 1/64” thick real wood veneer that is prefinished at our shop. We then install the new doors, drawer fronts, crown molding and scribe molding that is also prefinished at our shop. There will be no finish work that will have to be completed on site.
